The Member of Parliament for the Ahanta West Constituency, Ebenezer Kojo Kum has donated some medical equipments to the Ahanta West health directorate on Friday, 24th January, 2020.
The equipment which worth thousands of cedis includes two motorbikes, two motor tricycle ( popularly known as Mahama Canbu ), pieces of bed sheets, and a 55inches Samsung Television set were handed over to the Municipal Health Director, Madam Caroline Efah Otoo.
The MP at the donation noted that, the donation is in line with his contribution towards the delivery of quality healthcare in the Ahanta West Municipal.
He revealed that, health workers sometimes face so many challenges in trying to deliver quality healthcare to the patient so with the help of the motorbikes, health workers can deliver timely quality health service in the Municipality.
He stated, “this equipment will go a long way to enhance quality health delivery in the municipality”.
The member of Parliament hinted that, he has prioritized health and education as part of his development agenda for the constituency, adding that, a lot of development in the health sector is going to bring a quality healthcare service to the people of Ahanta West.
He however, urged management to ensure that the items are used to enhance quality health delivery in the Municipality.
Taking delivery of the items, the municipal Health Director, for Ahanta West, Madam Caroline Efah Otoo said “on behalf of health workers, we are much grateful for the gesture made by the MP, he has constantly been supportive.”
“we pray that he will support us in many ways to get much more equipment like vehicles and motorbikes to assist in our outreach services to ensure quality health care delivery in the Municipality.’’ she said.
“But most importantly, I want to assure him that the equipment would be used responsibly in ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare to the people of Ahanta West”, she remarked.
