Blessed Foundation Ghana and AMEN Health Network embark on free donation exercise, medical care in Amansie Central

The Blessed Foundation Ghana, in a collaboration with the Adventist Medical Evangelism and Health Network, has engaged in a free donation exercise and a medical care delivery to scores of residents in the Amansie Central.

The two-day activity took place on August 28 and August 29, 2020 at the Amansie Central Tweapease SDA church premises, with hundreds of people who turned up to receive the services of the medical teams.

Items such as clothes of all sizes, food items and relief items were donated freely to the community and neighboring areas.

Moreover, a health screening which covered blood pressure check-up, RDT test for malaria, hepatitis B, RBS/FBS, syphilis, and drugs were given to the residents.

According to the organizers, the core reasons for embarking on the kind gesture were to “provide clothes and dresses for the people in the community, check their health needs and provide drugs for them” at zero-cost.

They explain that several individuals in the community are unable to access quality healthcare due to overbearing financial constraints so “we had the donation and medical screening to help them have access to healthcare.”

They are therefore appealing to individuals, philanthropists, corporate bodies, pharmaceutical companies, churches and organizations to come to their aid to cushion them to continue serving persons who can’t seek medical attention for financial reasons.

In all, more than 400 people from the community and its environs benefited massively from the donation and medical screening exercises.
