Member of Parliament for the Ahanta West Municipality, Ebenezer Kojo Kum Esq on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 shared 6,000 face masks to constituents in his constituency.
Lawyer Kojo Kum took that step in the wake of the COVID-19 cases recorded in the Ahanta West Municipality.
The ECOWAS Parliamentarian had already donated N95 face masks, 10 infrared thermometer guns and alcohol-based hand rubs to the Health Directorate of the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly in line with his commitment to equipping the frontline health workers in the Municipality.

Speaking to the media, Lawyer Kum noted that the pandamic, if not tackled now, and gets serious, will affect many in the Constituency.
“That is why I have decided to share these face masks to help in the fight,” he added.

The MP visited the various markets of the zonal capitals in the Municipality in Agona Nkwanta, Dixcove, Abura, Ewusiejoe and Apowa. He also visited the Municipal Police Command, Ghana Fire and Rescue Service, Ahantaman Health Insurance Scheme, Ghana Immigration Service and the Radio Stations in the Municipality.

The Ahanta West Municipality has five Zonal Councils and each will get one thousand face masks from their Member of Parliament.
The Coronavirus has since infected 3 people in Ahanta West.
