The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation on Friday February 14, 2020 donated Chemical and Haematology Analyzers to Hima Dekyi hospital in Dixcove of the Ahanta West Municipality.

The GNPC Foundation, as part of their corporate social investment and responsibilities, donated the medical equipment to Hima Dekyi hospital to boost health care in the community and the adjoining communities.
The Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Aduah, on behalf of the Foundation commissioned the equipment.

Dr. Dominic Aduah, in his speech, revealed that the Foundation’s vision is to impact ten million Ghanaians. According to him, the vision of the Foundation forms part of their corporate social responsibilities and it’s expected to be achieved within the next five years.
The Foundation has already commenced the construction of artificial turfs across the country as well as giving out scholarships to brilliant but needy students.
Lawyer Ebenezer Kojo Kum, MP for Ahanta West, thanked GNPC for the donation. He urged the staff of the hospital to take good care of the equipment so the people who visit the hospital will benefit from it. He later asked GNPC to construct artificial turf for Ahanta West.
Present at the short ceremony were the paramount chiefs of Upper and Lower Dixcove, Obrempon Hima Dekyi XIV and Onwanwani Kwesi Agyeman IX, respectively. Also were Mrs Caroline Otoo, Municipal Director of Health Services, Nana Asampong Brobbey, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Mr Yeboah Maxwell, Scheme Manager, Ahantaman Mutual Health Insurance among other invited dignitaries.
