The Member of Parliament for the Ahanta West Constituency, Hon Lawyer Ebenezer Kojo Kum has reacted to Hon Kwesi Biney’s comment that the current MP is a disaster and does not deserve another 4-year term.
On Thursday, January 30, 2020, Hon Kojo Kum, who granted two separate interviews on Agona Nkwanta based Radio Ahanta and Ogya FM with Sammy Junior and Ngosraba Ekow Yankey, respectively, said that Mr Biney should be decent in his submission because there are young ones who are learning from him as a grown up.
The Ahanta West MP opined that Mr Biney is not Ahanta’s Messiah for every individual in the Constituency to run to him for salvation, adding that nothing has changed, again, he [Hon Biney] has nothing new he is bringing on board.
In his remission prayer, the MP prayed that “God should forgive us our sins,” stating that he wouldn’t be happy if someone used same or similar comments for Mr Kwesi Biney.
However, he could not end the interview without responding to claims that he does not own even a single room in the Municipality, a comment that was passed by Mr Dominic Dadzie who is the secretary to Hon Biney’s campaign team.
In his view, Hon Kojo Kum thinks “we should talk about issues that would bring about development.”
He said he has a place to sleep at Abura and Dixcove, besides, his doors are always open at his residence in Anaji.
The lawmaker also schooled his opponents, saying, “the Constitution does not require that one should own a house before getting the nod to become an MP.”
You don’t need to pull a good man down before you get to the top, he counselled.
He therefore admitted that his campaign should be intensified.
