Agona Central SDA church choir has on Sunday, January 19, 2020 engaged in a clean-up exercise to tidy up the Agona Nkwanta Health Centre.

As part of outlined activities marking the Choir’s 30th anniversary celebration, members of the choir and some church members thronged the premises of the Health Centre to weed, sweep and change some worn out nets to give the Centre a satisfactorily, smart appearance. Other dusty works and anything that ought to be cleaned has been cleaned.

Speaking to chrisdaily on the sidelines of the clean-up exercise, Agona West District Pastor of the SDA, Pr. CK Appiah-Kubi scored the reasons for choosing the Agona Health Centre. To him, the Centre serves the community so well and being the first point of contact whenever anyone is sick, the community should be concerned about its progress, cleaning its environs and must strive to raise its standard.
“If the health centre is filthy, a patient might even attract another disease.”
“The church, especially the choir is considering ways in which it can help the maternity ward,” he revealed.

Sister Gifty, the Choir’s leader invited the general public to join the choir on Sunday, 26th January, 2020 for a health walk, which would be followed by a lecture on Saturday, 1st February, 2020 at the church’s premises. She said there’ll be a music night on 8th February, 2020 at same venue before the main celebration which is scheduled for 29th February, 2020.
Exuding her thankfulness, the administrator of the Agona Health Centre, Miss Felicity Korankye Mensah disclosed that she was “very very impressed about their efforts” and the numbers that turned up for the exercise. She however pleaded with the community and stakeholders to come to their aid.
