The Living Waters Assemblies of God Church donates chairs to Agona Nkwanta Health Centre.

The Assemblies of God Church – Living Waters Assembly has donated forty (40) pieces of plastic and metal chairs to the Agona Nkwanta Health Centre.

The Church, which has been making several donations over the years to facilities and groups including but not limited to the Egyam Children’s Home, the poor and needy, and even the aged, donated the chairs which cost GH¢70.00 each on Monday, January 13, 2020.

Each chair costs GH¢70

What motivated the church to consider the Agona Nkwanta Health Centre, according to Deacon Sika Mensah, is the number of patients who travel from nearby and distant communities to access health at the said Facility.

“At least when we bring the chairs here, we serve not only the hospital but the entire community,” he told Nathaniel Nana Kwesi Ansah.

Disclosing the source of funding for the donation, he said that at the beginning of every new year, members of the church sow seeds the first Sunday of the month. They then consider the most needed and appropriate place and donate to them, hence, the funding was not from the church’s account.

The pastor, Rev. Dickson Ankomah also highlighted the difficulties patients go through to get chairs at the facility as another key reason for their donation.

Meanwhile, speaking and receiving the chairs on behalf of management and staff, Madam Felicity Korankye Mensah expressed her colossal gratitude to the church for such a timely donation.

Like Oliver Twist, the administrator pleaded for more support from churches, corporate organizations and individuals to help them render quality services to the community.

“Oh the chairs will last, we have a particular room for keeping them so we would make sure proper care is taken to keep them well,” she added.
